Hello friends,

This week at Jr. High youth group we’re going to be talking about friendship, and how as God’s baptized and redeemed children we are called to interact with the people we care about. We didn’t get the chance to discuss this topic last week, and I found it important enough that we’re going to carry it through to this week!

Often our goal is to have “good” friendships, but that’s a hard definition to pin down. Instead we’re going to explore what it might mean to have “Christ-like” friendships, or friendships where Jesus is the center instead of ourselves.

We’re going to be looking at several Bible verses and constructing what we’ll call a “Theology of Friendship” where we let God’s Word shape our understanding of what it means to be Godly friends.

I’ve attached the presentation that we’ll be using if you want to see it and discuss it as a family.

5th & 6th grade will be meeting this week! (5:30pm-6:00pm)

Thank you, and have a great rest of your week!
