Hello friends,

So for our youth group schedule this Lent, we’re going to do things a little differently than we have in the past-

We’ll be doing some game nights along with what we’re calling “Taboo Topics”- a series of discussions about things that, for whatever reason, don’t get discussed very often. However having open and frank conversations about them are healthy, and looking into what God’s Word says about them are absolutely vital. We’re happy to have one of our DCE Students from Concordia University, Mr. Andrew Crist, who’s going to be leading these us in these discussions. The topics we’re aiming at discussing are alcohol abuse, violence, and sexuality. I’ll be sending more info on the topics & discussions in as they come up in the order.

This week, however, we’re going to kick things off with a wholly silly game that I’m calling “The Great Emoji Challenge” where the students will be divided into teams and compete to see who can guess what several sequences of emojis are trying to say. Should be fun to see what they come up with and see who can take home the animated crown!

Thanks everyone, have a wonderful week!
