This week at jr. high youth group we’re going to be taking about the three key terms that served at the backbone of the reformation and figuring out why they’re still important for us today:
Sola Gratia – “Grace Alone”
Ephesians 2:8-10

God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.

•Why do you think people want to feel like we’ve earned God’s love?
•Why is it important for us to remember God’s love and free grace?

Sola Fide – “Faith Alone”
Ephesians 2:8-10
By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.
•What are some other things people think can save them?
•Why do we need reminded that God gives us our faith, and not ourselves?
Sola Scriptura – “Scripture Alone”

The Bible is God’s inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and norm for Christian doctrine & practice.

•What makes the Bible special, that we should follow it?
•Why is it sometimes so hard for us to read/study it?
Thanks everyone!
Just a reminder that 5th & 6th grade will not have youth group this week, just 7th & 8th grade.
